A very theatrical audiobook, great cast! Not the full novel but it is amazing!

Tom Conti’s fake accent of Detective Hercule Poirot is horrible and nearly impossible to understand at times. Also, the overall tone of the book is boring. I’m very disappointed.

After getting quite a ways through this audio book, I realized that this was not an unabridged version after reading an Amazon review. After listening to another version that is actually unabridged, I can tell you that this strays pretty far from the text. Entire passages were completely unrecognizable. Amazon should do better to disclose this PRIOR to purchase, by putting it in the description at a minimum.As some of the other reviewers have mentioned - some of the accents are overkill and difficult to understand. I found some of the sound effects to be a tad overdone as well. For instance, there is background noise on the train - which was really distracting on a semi-decent speaker.

Not as interesting and thought provoking as I expected.

No info on whether it's abridged or unabridged in this Amazon product description or on Audible's website (as of 11/07/2017). So I contacted Audible support and they verified that it is "an abridged dramatisation."No thanks. I don't allow editors who censor content to tell me what I should or should not read, especially when those editors don't bother to tell me whether or not they're censoring content for any reason.

This is more of an audioplay than a straight out audiobook. It's very well done and very enjoyable. I hope Audible gives more Christie books this treatment! Perhaps my favorite, The Mysterious Mr Quin? hint hint

Excellent audiobook. Audible needs to make much more like these. Very well acted and extremely entertaining. It’s like watching a movie without ever having to take your eyes off the road!

This is a good Cookbook, however, what I most especially appreciate are the tables of the vitamin K content of various foods. The list is extensive, as opposed to the "list of green vegetables" the physicians office hands you that is simply a placard with admonitions against "eating anything green". You certainly CAN eat green vegetables, but must do so with the knowledge of vitamin K content and CONSISTANT knowledge and habits of eating. You need green veggies and salads. Coumadin can be adjusted. You need not deprive yourself and this book helps you understand that. I think it is worthy.

I love this cookbook! As a person who is taking Coumadin & limited in foods I can eat, I found this book to be a gift from heaven. Kudos to the author who wrote it. My meals would be so boring without this book! I keep this book on my dining room table where it only a "touch" away." I have recommended this book to others who take Coumadin. When one is taking a medication which definitely limits what foods they can or should not eat, life can get pretty boring. Although this says it is book 1 of the series, there is a prequel novella called "The System" that sets the scene for the series. (That book does not have the character of Mike Falau in it, so it cannot be in the Falau Files series.) I thought the writing in this book was a bit better than in the System, so I was glad I continued on. The characters are colorful and interesting, not all good or bad. It is a short novella, so don't expect a long book - but that can be a good thing. There is still some editing to be done and I find that to be distracting, but it left me wanting to move on to the next in the series. I received this novella for free and have written an honest review.

This is a good quick read for vigilante justice thriller fans. Being one myself, I enjoyed the book. Falau is an older man tortured by a woman's death from his past. He's just taken a job involving a hit-and-run accident and then he gets an offer for another job from an old friend to smuggle a major drug dealer back to the United States for a "hearing". The fentanyl drug is mentioned which is definitely a relative issue in the United States with overdoses. I definitely recommend this book for a quick read, possibly on a flight or on a long ride. It keeps the pages turning and the hero is admirable and relatable. And at the price, you really can't beat it. Enjoy!

Some parts of it have themes that are similar to those of other authors. Regardless, I would recommend this book. Again, the story was good, and Michael’s character growth is impressive. This is why I give this book four stars. I am looking forward to book two of this series!

I have to be honest, it was disappointing. Rather short, a novella really. The writing was a bit stilted. Has it been rather badly translated from another language? Others seem to have enjoyed it though, so I'll reserve further judgment until I've read the second in the series to see if the writing improves and the principal characters become more defined. Potential is there, I'll see if the author can rise to that.

Falau is down on his luck, with no money, he accepts a job from a good friend. The Butcher is a drug lord that has killed many people. The recent shipment of drugs is laced with a very strong drug that kills. Falau's assignment is to capture the Butcher and bring him back for justice outside the court system. I have read other novels in this series and wanted to go back and find out how it began. I was not disappointed.

There were a few minor problems but I enjoyed the book a lot. I do have have a fondness for antiheroes. I had a hard time getting past Falau's name (perhaps the author is a Rugby fan?) and he starts out as a pretty disagreeable character. The book improved after his recruitment. I preferred Tyler to Falau.

Not really that much of a story. Little detail in how the whole mission was accomplished, thus not nearly as exciting. Didn't hold my attention.

Great writing and the storyline is fast moving and keeps you on wanting more! Can't wait for the next book!!!
